In 2019, he became among the go-to Afrobeats producers, working with artists such as GoldLink, WSTRN, Doja Cat, and Davido. That same year, he produced six tracks on Beyoncé’s soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift, earning him a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. In 2020, he won his first GRAMMY Award for Best Global Music Album for Burna Boy’s album Twice as Tall. P2J was the primary producer on Wizkid’s GRAMMY-nominated album, Made in Lagos, of which the song “Essence” became the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
