Valhalla DSP is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its most popular plugin with a major update. Version 3.0.0 of ValhallaVintageVerb includes a new reverb mode that is loosely inspired by a digital “room simulator” hardware reverb from the 1980s.
As the name suggests, the Palace reverb mode is essentially a big, fancy room algorithm. The Palace mode can sound more realistic than the other room and chamber algorithms in VintageVerb, while still retaining “vintage digital” characteristics.
By adjusting the Size, Attack, Early and Late Diffusion, the Palace algorithm can simulate rooms ranging from small studios and chambers, to concert halls, all the way up to cathedrals and the grandest memorial architecture.
Version 3.0.0 also includes an update for AAX Apple Silicon, macOS Ventura and Intel/M1 native Mac builds (ready for Big Sur & Monterey).
ValhallaVintageVerb is priced $50 USD. The update is free for existing owners of the plugin.
