United Plugins has released an update to its DIFIX audio plugin, a tool for everybody who records guitar or bass using the soundcard’s instrument input.
In many cases these soundcards do not deliver real Hi-Z necessary for the pick-ups to sound right. DIFIX fixes that. Version 3.0 of the plugin adds a new Mixing Mode.
While the original recording mode is simply dynamic and gives you great DI sound while recording, the Mixing mode, gives even better results. It’s based on spectral dynamics and may cause extra latency on some machines. Therefore it is recommended to switch to this mode for mixing only.
The update is free to existing users, and new users can try the plugin for free with a 15-day fully working trial version.
