Soundiron has announced the release of an enhanced version of its free sample library created from a variety of natural rain ambiences and raindrop sound effects crafted into playable sound-designed synths, pads, atmospheric soundscapes and percussive sfx.
Now for Kontakt 7 Player and NKS, Rainsong is full of playable musical elements, as well as useful sonic elements and foley for video games, animation, film and songwriting.
Each nature field recording has been carefully captured in wide stereo. You’ll find sounds of rain hitting car hoods, downspouts, traffic, thunder storms, bird calls in the forest, and more. After getting thoroughly soaked, we added a series of one shot drips and impacts you can use to easily make your own aqua percussion or uniquely wet sound effects.
Once we warmed up by the fire, we sound designed 58 ambient pads, atmospheres, drones and environments using the raw source content. These can be played on their own as synth pads, leads, and plucks, or blended in with the field recordings and SFX for a polished production-ready mix using our flexible four layer GUI. Overall, Rainsong allows you to layer custom electric soundscapes, perform water-based synthesis, and generate a sonic storm of creativity.
Available for Kontakt 7.1.8 or higher and the free Kontakt Player, Rainsong is free to download from the Soundiron website.
