Acon Digital has announced the release of a new plugin capable of real-time separation of instrument groups, also known as stems. Leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Remix can effortlessly break down complete mixes into five distinct stems: Vocals, Piano, Bass, Drums, and Other.
With Remix, music producers and sound engineers gain unprecedented creative control. Key features include:
- Stem Remixing: Easily adjust the volume of individual stems, such as emphasizing vocals, reduce drum levels, or even create karaoke versions.
- Sensitivity Control: Fine-tune the detection sensitivity for each stem to achieve the perfect balance between artifact elimination and spill.
- Automation: All the parameters are fully automatable.
- Separate Stem Outputs: In addition to the mixed signal output, Remix offers separate outputs for each stem. This feature allows users to route outputs to individual tracks, making it possible to apply insert effects as if working with five separate tracks.
Remix is the result of a collaborative effort with HANCE, a leader in machine learning and digital signal processing. Central to this collaboration is the HANCE Audio Engine, a versatile and cross-platform library that simplifies the deployment of machine learning models on any device.
HANCE also provides highly optimized pre-trained models for various audio source separation tasks. Acon Digital has licensed the HANCE Audio Engine and integrated stem separation models trained by HANCE to power Remix.
Remix for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is available to purchase at Plugin Boutique and from Acon Digital for $49.90 USD. Current and new owners of the Acoustica Premium Edition 7.x audio editing, mastering and restoration software will receive a free license deposited to their user account.
