SampleScience has announced the release of a free drum module that features the sound of the Elka DrumStar 80, a mid-80s drum machine from Italy with a great lofi and punchy sound.
80s DrumStar contains all 32 sounds of the original machine, plus 6 built-in effects to tweak them to your taste.
The percussive power of 80s DrumStar lies in its very rough samples that can cut through any mix.
10 reverse effect sounds not in the original hardware have been added. They are good to use as sound effects and for intros.
The plugin is available as a “pay what you like” download, including free. It comes in VST/VST3 and AU fornats for Windows and macOS.
