Kilohearts has announced an update to its flagship synthesizer instrument Phase Plant. Version 2.1.4 includes some bugfixes and a special holiday gift in the form of over 200 new factory presets.
We’ve expanded the factory collection with new go-to “staple” presets for everyday music production. Discover basses, leads, pads, and more, ready to use with minimal tweaking. Search #december2023 to find them. You’ll also find a handful of straightforward patches, tagged #basic, that offer common synth sounds for easy adaptation and reverse-engineering.
On top of that, we’ve integrated our free Grattis Content Bank so you don’t have to download it separately. Nice! We hope that you find these new presets valuable. And for those not yet using Phase Plant… we plan to continue adding factory content for our other plugins too. So look out for updates!
The update also includes the following fixes and improvements:
- Fixed an issue with LFOs not switching direction immediately when loop mode is changed while playing.
- Fixed skinnable background in Snap Heap.
- Made Convolver latency constant to avoid latency change glitches.
- Fixed an issue with range entry on modulations from inverted modulators.
- Fixed animation update issues on macOS.
The update is free for existing users of Phase Plant. New customers can purchase the synth at the discounted priced of $99 USD through the end of the year (regular $199 USD).
