The Unfinished has introduced a collection of 150 patches for Togu Audio Line’s brand new TAL-Pha software synthesizer emulation of the Roland Alpha Juno II.
Taking the classic mid-80s, analog/digital hybrid soul of the synth and applying it to modern, scoring needs, the cornerstones of TAL-Pha Omnia Impactful are low end, rich synthesis, and atmospheric textures.
The tones of lush, vibrant and inspirational cinematic, future retro synth sounds provide a sonic palette that’s both fresh and familiar, whilst pushing the architecture of the synth in interesting new directions.
Although Omnia’s central focus is on film, TV and game scoring, it is also imbued with the original vibes of techno, house and electronic pop that the original synth was famous for. Cinematic techno and electronic artists like Kiasmos, Rival Consoles, Sasha and Gus Gus have inspired the feel of this soundset as much as contemporary, synth-inspired composers such as Mac Quayle (Mr Robot), Cliff Martinez (Drive), Olafur Arnalds (Broadchurch) and Lorne Balfe (Ghost in the Shell).
The soundset is available to purchase for £19.99 GBP. An expanded Omnia: Fjall Edition with an 70 extra cinematic techno patches is £24.99 GBP. Prices are ex. VAT where applicable.
