Drum Depot has announced the release of a free sample pack that contains a collection of drum samples created from the sounds of a Technics 1210 mkII professional turntable.
Vinyl Drums includes a total of 24 samples made from scratches and scrapes, alongside drum kit patches for Native Instruments Battery, Geist and MPC.
Imagine a Technics 1210 mkII would be used as a drum machine: Jumping needles, hard scratches on the vinyl surface, scrapes and so on … everything that gives turntable-lovers decent creeps, sampled and made up into a very special and exclusive drum kit. Although this isn’t for the faint-hearted, you’ll be surprised how and usable good this sounds!
So if you’re looking for free drums with that extra touch you never heard before, download them right away. The Vinyl Drums pack contains kits for Native Instruments Battery, GeistLite and Geist, as well as several Akai MPC formats. All samples are numbered chronologically and come in WAV format, so you can easily load them into your sampler as well.
