Ploytec has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its latest USB audio format converter designed to use legacy DJ mixers on current iOS, Mac OS and Windows.
How many practical devices – mixing consoles, DJ decks, controllers, and many others that sound great and provide exciting performances and creative workflows, unfortunately, fall out of their computer-based application when suddenly the USB protocol is no longer supported by new computers. Well, Ploytec Revival provides a good connection again.
The first version of Ploytec Revival will support the DJ mixing consoles XONE:2D, XONE:4D, and XONE:DB4. Other products with USB protocols that no longer work on current computers will follow in the future; Ploytec Revival can be updated via USB.
A working prototype was presented in a 20-minute presentation in the auditorium at the Berlin Superbooth Show on May 18th, 2024.
The Kickstarter campaign for Ploytec Revival runs until June 30th, 2024. Supporters can pledge 189 EUR to get the device, with shipping expected in December 2024.
