The Sound Gardxn has introduced the follow up to one of its most successful soundsets featuring unique, moody and expressive layers inspired by movies and TV drama.
Matter and Form 2 offers up a fresh batch of 50 programs, each with 3 sound layers that can be mixed and matched like a MIDI construction kit.
This time, each program starts with a bespoke loop derived from either Eurorack or semi modular oscillators. The loops were crafted with unusual timed gates and envelopes, and modulated with custom LFO’s and MSEG’s from Bitwig’s expansive modulation options to conjure interesting rhythmic results, yet ensuring they stay musical in a scoring context.
The loop is then supported with another two custom layers from Falcon 3’s powerful sound design capabilities intended to compliment, enhance, counter or interrupt – but all the while create mysterious, moody and inspirational vibes.

- 50 midi files are included as a starting point for your compositions, and to hear the programs as they were intended/created.
- Extensive use of the step and multi envelopes, script processors, stretch oscillator, diffuse delay, diode clipper, wave shaper, ring modulator, 3.0 sequencers and the drunk LFO.
- Each program has 3 macro controls mapped to either common or interesting modulation parameters for further sonic manipulation, plus individual bypass buttons for each layer. Light compression is courtesy of the new Opal compressor for flavour.
- Each layer has also been exported out as their own preset and saved into categories for convenience.
