Sound design boutique company The Very Loud Indeed Co. has announced the launch of a collection of 120 new cinematic patches for the Omnisphere virtual instrument by Spectrasonics.
Omnisphere Specto includes 123 new sound sources which have been recorded and designed specifically for this soundset. It only uses these new sound sources and does not recycle the stock ones in Omnisphere or any other previous set from the company.
According to founder and sound designer Richie Nieto, Specto brings a fragile, damaged quality in its sounds that is specially well suited for scoring psychological drama and any genres with tense and unsettling scenes. The works of composers like Joseph Bishara, Michael Abels, Ben Salisbury and Cliff Martinez have influenced the creation of the patches in this set.
Omnisphere Specto is compatible with Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.8 or later. It is on sale for the introductory price of $19 USD until June 28th, 2024 (regular $29 USD).
