Soundspear has announced an update to its free, open source integrated development environment to create your own audio effects with ease.
Available for Windows, macOS and Linux, Formula now includes all 50+ effects that were previously part of the Formula Cloud paid subscription.
Formula can either be used as an effect plugin inside a DAW (VST3 or AU), or as a standalone application. The effects within Formula are made using the C programming language.
Musician or non-technical users can browse and use dozens of bundled open-source effects made by developers from around the world.
Formula is free to download from the Soundspear website.
