The Very Loud Indeed Co. has announced the release of the third chapter in the Oblique series of solo string libraries, focused on creating moods typical of genres like thrillers, dark drama and horror.
Oblique III: Dark Violin Explorations features symphonic violinist Ingrid Solano conjuring haunting, tortured and emotionally damaged sounds out of her instrument.
“This is not a violin library meant for composing romantic comedies or beautiful heartwarming pieces. It’s meant to put darkness and madness at your fingertips, to underline scenes that portray fear, anxiety and hopelessness,” says Richie Nieto, founder and sound designer at The Very Loud Indeed Co.
The library includes 603 audio files at 24 bit/48 kHz resolution. All the sound files are in WAV format, so they can be used in other samplers or directly in a DAW.
OBLIQUE III: Dark Violin Explorations for the full version of Kontakt 6.8 or higher is available now, on sale for the introductory price of $47 USD for a limited time (regular $79 USD).
