Blanketfort Audio has announced the release of a new audio plugin based on the effect section of the SR Drums instrument library for Kontakt.
The Breakshaper plugin delivers tone shaping, distortion and dynamics to get your drums smacking (or not) in the quickest time possible.
Initially I started loading other samples into the SR Drums instrument before having the thought that maybe it’s better if I made my own version, with a few tweaks and extra features.
Featuring a state variable filter with modulation, a tilt/smile tone control, distortion, compression and transient shaping it can get your drums where you want them with a minimum of fuss.
Breakshaper is a “pay what you like” download for Windows and Mac.
