Audiority has announced an update to its faithful simulation of the Binson Echorec T7E vintage analog all-tube magnetic echo. Version 2.3 of Echoes T7E comes with various improvements and fixes.

This echo effect unit is based on a magnetic spinning drum with both record and playback heads arranged around a recording wire wound around the drum circumference. This solution provides better stability over the usual tape transport with reduced wow and flutter. Since the main “core” of this effect is based on the above mechanism, we modelled both the mechanics and the electronics.

Changes in Echoes T7E v2.3

  • New: Updated Framework.
  • Fix: Improved UI contrast.
  • Fix: Improved automations and randomizer.
  • Fix: Improved popup font on Head buttons.
  • Change: All Extra Parameters has been excluded from randomizing.
  • Breaking change: Minimum macOS version is now 10.13.

A free update for existing users of Echoes T7E, new customers can purchase the plugin for the discounted price of 29 USD/EUR until October 1st, 2024 (regular 69 USD/EUR). The plugin is available in VST/VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP formats for Windows and Mac.
