MiMU has announced the release of a new granular delay effect plugin. Kuiper comes with independent control of 5 different pitch channels.

The name is derived from the ‘Kuiper Belt’ – a region of icy (and perhaps ‘granular’) objects in the solar system beyond the orbit of Neptune. You will find reference to that in the in-built preset system.

Kuiper features

  • 5 separate grain channels with independent transpose, gain and on/off controls.
  • A beautiful visualization of each grain as it appears in the delay output.
  • Forwards or backwards grain playback – or even a mixture of both.
  • Up to 100 simultaneous grains, each from 20ms up to 1000ms long.
  • An in-built preset system so you can save presets for future use.

Available in VST3 and AU Plugin formats and as standalone software for Windows and Mac, Kuiper is priced £79 GBP.
