United Plugins updates Cyberdrive distortion plugin to v1.1

United Plugins has released an update to JMG Sound’s distortion effect plugin. Version 1.1 of CyberDrive comes with enhanced performance, and many added and improved features.

The final word in distortion has just been said. You may throw all your distortions in the TRASH, now. With a great help of Dr. Distorstein we created a weapon of mass distortion. We wrote the final chapter and made the distortionest distortion that crushes everything. The last distortion standing, the insane drive that will drive you insane, is called Cyberdrive.

Changes in Cyberdrive v1.1

• New: DIST 1, 2 and 3 now have a phase invert option for the wet signal found in the right-click menu.
• New: PUMP effect added to MOTION module, creates sidechain pumping effect and more.
• New: 8 new COLOURS have been added to the PROFILE module, changing the tonal character of the sound.
• New: CORROSION effect has been added to the TONE 1 and 2 modules. It modulates the signal with noise or sine wave with adjustable frequency.
• New: FREQ SHIFT effect has been added to the TONE 1 and 2 modules. It is a frequency shifter with feedback.
• New: DISPERSION effect has been added to the TONE 1 and 2 modules. It is a series of all-pass filters that offset phase at a selected frequency.
• New: VOWEL filter has been added to the TONE 1 and 2 modules. FREQ changes through A E I O U vowels.
• New: GLITCH effect has been added to the SPACE module. It randomizes playback to create stutters and glitches.
• New: EXPANDER effect has been added to the DYNAMICS module. It increases dynamic range (opposite to compression).
• New: BASS COMP effect has been added to the DYNAMICS module. It preserves the low end using a sidechain HP filter.
• Improved: Safety CLIP is now on by default when loading the plugin.
• Improved: New improved filter routing “FILTER” is now the default. The old mode has been renamed to “FILTER MIX”. Backwards compatibility has been preserved.
• Fixed: Removed mod wheel mapping error.
• Fixed: Inter-module oversampling now reports latency correctly.

Cyberdrive for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is priced 79 EUR. The plugin is available from the United Plugins store and at Plugin Boutique.
