iZotope, a part of Native Instruments, has announced the latest addition to the iZotope Catalyst Series. The cutting-edge Aurora reverb plugin incorporates adaptive unmasking technology that intelligently reacts to your audio so instruments and vocals remain clear and present.

With Aurora, producers and engineers of all genres and backgrounds can easily add lush, immersive reverb to their tracks without the risk of muddiness.

As the second installment in the Catalyst Series, Aurora continues iZotope’s tradition of innovation following the recent success of Plasma, a new adaptive tube saturation plugin. Designed to address common mix challenges, Aurora simplifies the process of integrating reverb into a mix by carving out space dynamically, removing the need for complex routing, tedious automation, or multiple plugins.

Aurora features

  • Adaptive Unmasking: Aurora dynamically reacts to incoming audio to carve a custom-fit space out of the reverb signal, letting your instruments and vocals stay focused and clear. No more muddy mixes, no long plugin chains, just effortlessly clean reverb.
  • World-Class Sound: Continuing the legacy of Exponential Audioʼs distinguished reverb algorithms, Aurora imparts a lush depth to your sound, immersive and glowing with rich character.
  • Intuitive Controls: Simplified parameters let you dial in both reverb and unmasking effects in seconds, providing effortlessly balanced results.
  • Over 60 Presets: With over 60 professional presets across six different reverb types (hall, room, chamber, plate, ambience, cathedral), Aurora offers a range of adaptive spaces that can fit into any project.
  • Customizable Sound: Fine-tune the reverb character with Pre-Delay/Decay controls, width adjustments, and on-board high-pass and low-pass filters, ensuring your reverb sits perfectly in the mix.

Available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac, Aurora is priced $49 USD at Native Instruments, iZotope, and from Plugin Boutique. Owners of any paid iZotope product can crossgrade for $39 USD until October 15th, 2024.
