MusicDevelopments has released an update to its music prototyping software RapidComposer, bringing various enhancements and fixes to improve your music composition workflow.

Changes in RapidComposer v5.3.4
- The Phrase Browser is now updated in the background.
- Added ‘Line Naming’ setting (Auto/Manual) with manual renaming options.
- Improved MusicXML chord import (better error handling and support for diminished chords).
- Enhanced MIDI import (skips empty tracks, resolves files that are 1 beat shorter).
- Preprocessing for guitar phrases before converting to tablature (checks and corrects polyphony exceeding string limits).
- MIDI export improvements: filenames, titles, and track names now set based on the first phrase or track.
- Fixed: percussion generator presets issue.
- MusicXML export fixes and general stability improvements.
The update is free for all owners of RapidComper 5.x. Users of version 4 can upgrade for $49 USD (full edition) and $24 USD (light edition).
