Toontrack continues its Metal Month promotion with the release of two new MIDI packs.
Epic Metal for the EZkeys virtual instrument features a collection of MIDI files inspired by a wealth of keyboard-centric styles of metal.
In this MIDI pack for EZkeys, we’ve aimed to deliver a collection of metal-inspired tidbits you can use as springboards for new ideas or as ready-made performances to customize and add onto your already-written tracks. Aside from the self-explanatory Intros and Outros sections featuring different takes on dramatic, haunting and doom-laden parts to kick off or round off a song, this MIDI pack is organized in three distinct categories. In each included “song,” there are Pad Progressions, Themes and Arpeggios sections, each giving you a variety of takes on chord progressions for use as pads, riff-like themes and, finally, repeating melodic figures that you can add your own basslines or chords behind.
Progressive Power contains a collection of grooves and fills for EZdrummer and Superior Drummer, delivering a blend of progressive metal and heavy fusion signed Ryan Van Poederooyen.
A great progressive metal drummer needs to master the art of rhythm and minute timing while juggling feel, mind-bending coordination and delicate phrasing. Someone who’s got all of that and then some is Canadian virtuoso Ryan Van Poederooyen. Known from his tenure in the Devin Townsend Project, his rock-solid beat and ability to seamlessly switch between unhinged sprees of speed, complex rhythmic mathematics and delicately expressed fusion-tinged grooves has cemented his name as one of the consummate progressive drummers of the last decade.
The MIDI packs are priced 29 USD/EUR at the Toontrack store and from Best Service
