Loopcloud has unveiled a major update to its all-in-one, sample-based music maker that centers on creativity and fluidity. Packed with innovative MIDI functionality, version 7.4 of Loopcloud 7.4 unlocks over 150,000 MIDI files categorized by key, instrument, and genre, alongside seamless integration of user-library MIDI playback.
Developed from community feedback, Loopcloud delivers unparalleled MIDI auditioning, allowing users to layer MIDI in-sync and in-key with their projects, saving time and sparking inspiration.
Changes in Loopcloud 7.4
- MIDI playback and purchase: Preview and purchase individual MIDI files in the Loopcloud desktop app, with over 150k available in this beta release.
- All-in-one plugin installation: Install Loopcloud Desktop App, Loopcloud Sounds VST, Drum, and Play in one installer, with the option to choose plugins.
- User content management: Easily redirect Loopcloud to a new file location and update it by clicking the Locate button.
- Performance improvement: Reduced CPU usage during idle times, leading to smoother performance and lower resource usage.
- tag updates with closed sidebar: manage tags without having to keep the sidebar open for faster updates.
- Key analyzer script update: Improved key detection for BandLab samples with better accuracy.
- Column ordering constraints removed: More flexibility in customizing column setup with no ordering restrictions.
- Update button in status bar: A new Update button in the status bar appears when updates are available for quick access.
- Added date slider feature: A slider in the Audio Filters tab allows you to filter searches based on purchase date.
- Elektron Digitakt 1 folder loading: Load entire folders directly to the drive for Elektron Digitakt 1.
- Minimize on startup: Option to minimize Loopcloud on startup for background operation, helpful for Drum and Play users.
- Login screen ENTER trigger: Press ENTER on the login screen to trigger the login process.
- Format tags in product/header: Format tags such as MIDI and synth presets are now visible in the product/header section for easier content searching.
The update is free for current Loopcloud users. New customers can get a free plugin bundle with any annual plan subscription until January 6th, 2024 (all plans come with a 14-day free trial).
