AudioThing has announced the release of Magical Toy Keyboard, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Years ago I used to do circuit bending and I had many little toy keyboards around. This one was one of my favourite, perfect for 8bit and chiptunes genres or just for fun. This Kontakt Library includes all sounds and rhythms from that old toy keyboard.
A little custom GUI let you choose to extend the original range of the instrument and to enable velocity to control the volume of the instrument. There is, also, a low pass filter (just 1 pole) to cut unwanted noise from original samples. The rhythms patch has each rhythm mapped to the white keys (just like the original) and they are tempo-synced to your DAW/sequencer.
Magical Toy Keyboard features
- 25 Patches.
- 12 Rhythms.
- Formats: Kontakt and .wav.
- Sample resolution: 44.1Khz / 24Bit.
- Size: 70 MB installed.
- Custom performance view.
Magical Toy Keyboard is available to purchase for $5 USD.
