Loomer has released three new products for Mac, Windows, and Linux: Aspect, Manifold and Resound.
Loomer is a producer of high quality audio software for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Our software is built with a focus on superb sounds, versatility without complexity, and interfaces that encourage creativity. And with optimised audio algorithms that won’t overload your processor, rock-solid stability, and easy integration with any MIDI hardware controller, our products are ideal for live work.
Aspect is a 32-note polyphonic software instrument that combines a great-sounding, powerful synthesis engine, with a flexible semi-modular architecture and unparalleled ease of use.
Aspect features
- Two analog modeled oscillators, each capable of producing a powerful selection of raw waveforms
- Dual filters that can be routed in series, in parallel, or even blended into unique combinations.
- Modulation sources: three analog modeled envelopes, capable of producing quick, snappy attacks, and three flexible LFOs, which can be synced to tempo.
- Flexible patch section allows sources to be combined and processed to produce complex modulations from simple sources, whilst a versatile modulation architecture allows practically anything to be used as a modulation source and destination.
Manifold is a software audio effect processor that enhances an audio signal, producing a fuller, livelier, bigger sound. Input signals are split into as many as 20 individual voices, each of which are detuned, placed around the stereo panorama, and recombined with stunning results.
Manifold features
- Flexible controls mean Manifold is capable of producing a wide range of effects; from subtle modulations that add interest to lifeless sounds, to extreme detuning that fattens the weakest of input sources.
- Highpass and lowpass filters mold the sound further, allowing only specific frequency ranges to be processed.
- Flexible panning allows the effect to produce sounds that can be tightly focussed in the centre of the stereo image, spread between the extreme stereo edges, or anywhere in-between.
Resound is a software audio delay effect processor that emulates the sound and operation of vintage magnetic-tape echo units. Whilst not a direct copy of any one particular model, it takes features from several of the classic delay devices, and unites them into a convincing and pleasingly retro sounding effect.
Resound features
- Resound not only models the characteristic mechanical noise present in hardware magnetic-tape units, but also allows the noise to be controlled; from gentle warmth and distortion, to noisy, gritty, and unstable.
- The sound can be shaped further using the moveable highpass filter. And with feedback set beyond a certain intensity, Resound is even capable of self-oscillation.
- Resound’s echoes can either be synced to the host tempo (expressing delay times as musical subdivisions of a beat, each echo will be exactly in time with the host) or in free-time mode (allowing any delay time, up to 2 seconds.)
- Reverse mode adds further flexibility: by playing each delay backwards, Resound can produce unique effects beyond what hardware magnetic-tape units are capable of.
- True independent stereo processing means that left and right channel separation is preserved. Resound is also capable or running in mono, or even mono to stereo.
Aspect is available for purchase for £65 GBP, while Manifold and Resound are £35 GBP each. Demo versions are available for download here.
