The Unfinished has launched Humankind 2015, a sale on selected soundsets in support of Oxfam.
Some of you may remember that back in December 2013, I launched a little project called Humankind. Humankind was a collection of four limited edition synth soundsets (for Absynth, Massive, Omnisphere and Trilian) that raised money for Oxfam.
At least 50% of all the proceeds from the sales of Humankind went directly to this amazing charity and together we raised over £3,000 – which was a fantastic result.
Over the last 18 months or so, I’ve received a number of emails and messages asking if I would ever re-release the Humankind soundsets (they were only on sale for a month). And I have finally decided to do so, on 3rd April. All eight Humankind soundsets will be on sale until 30th April.
As well as re-releasing the original four Humankind soundsets, I have been busy making four new ones. I decided that it was a little unfair on those who supported me so strongly first time around to have nothing to purchase this time. So, I have created new Humankind patches for Bazille, Diva, Zebra and Zebra HZ – yes, they’re all u-he synths!
All the patches (and there’s now 512 of them!) have been hand-crafted specifically for this project, aiming to provide a wide variety of useful sounds for cinematic scoring, ambient soundscapes and modern electronica. They may be smaller soundsets than usual but, if you take a listen to the demo tracks on Soundcloud or the video walkthroughs on YouTube and Vimeo, you’ll see they pack a significant punch.
The sale ends April 30th, 2015.
