ADDAC System introduces two new Eurorack modules that are designed to keep your modular system free of undesired, noisy audio interference by providing shielding and electrical isolation from external sources. Also available as DIY kits, the ADDAC710 Balanced Outputs and the ADDAC711 Balanced Inputs are just 6HP wide.
Designed to only output what your modular system is actually producing minus any noisy interference, the ADDAC710 is a dual channel Isolated DI box that provides galvanic, electrical isolation between the modular system and external sources. Such interference can be very common, and often caused by impedance mismatch or ground loop induced hum. The ADDAC710 circuit is designed around an impedance matching transformer, operating in the 20 Hz to 20 KHz range, and provides two fully balanced outputs (via XLR connectors). This module serves as a low-cost alternative to the ADDAC800X High-End Outputs module, which ADDAC System has redesigned using a smaller low-cost transformer that also reduces it’s depth — making it perfect for more shallow Eurorack cases.
While the ADDAC710 is designed to protect what goes out of your modular, the ADDAC711 protects what comes in. Using a dual channel Isolated DI box, the ADDAC710 keeps your modular free of undesired noisy interferences by providing galvanic electrical isolation from external sources while preventing ground loop induced hum. Similar to the ADDAC710 at the output stage, the ADDAC711 also uses an impedance matching transformer that operates in the 20 Hz to 20 KHz range, while providing two fully balanced outputs (via XLR connectors).
The ADDAC710 and ADDAC711 modules are available now, priced 160 EUR and 240 EUR respectively.
