Audio community site Airwiggles has launched a new contest that gives sound designers, composers and voice actors the chance to win over $20,000 USD in prizes. Participants – either solo or in a team of up to 5 people – are tasked with creating their own original soundscape for short film ‘Binocular Trick’ by Spencer Zimmerman.
The Film Audio Faceoff is sponsored by Native Instruments, iZotope, Boom Library, Kilohearts, and Fracture sounds, in partnership with A Sound Effect, and the top entries will be judged by industry veterans such as Disasterpeace, Nia Hansen, and Adele Cutting.
Prizes include Native Instruments’ Komplete 15 Collector’s Edition, iZotope’s Everything Bundle and Music Production Suite 7, BOOM Library’s Boom One and Boom Signature Series Basics, Kilohearts’ Ultimate Bundle and Phase Plant, Fracture Sounds’ Everything Bundle, and more.
Airwiggles is a free online audio community dedicated to sound for film, games and beyond and is home to more than 5500+ audio creatives from around the world.
The Film Audio Faceoff contest runs from March 3rd to April 13th, 2025 – and participants can sign up now at airwiggles.com/faceoff
