Aly James Lab has introduced a major update to its drum machine that offers a faithful emulation of the internal circuitry and filtering of one of the most iconic drum machines of the early ’80s, the Linn LM-1.
Version 3.0 of VPROM comes with various new features and improvements, including new Mac VST3 and AU support, built-in WAV resampler and EPROM burner, custom EPROM manager, real-Time µLaw DAC curve response control, enhanced mixer, revamped GUI and skins, new 48 PPQN internal clock and real-time clock drift, expanded voice card features, advanced EPROM playback controls, and more.
Over the years, VPROM has become a staple in music production, celebrated for its accurate variable sample rate emulation of classic DACs and its ability to load swappable EPROM samples.
Now, with the release of VPROM 3.0, I am taking things to the next level. This major upgrade enhances both features and usability. While previous versions excelled at replicating EPROM-based drum machines, primarily the LM-1, Version 3.0 expands its capabilities even further.
VProm 3.0 for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU) is available to purchase for 56 EUR. Owners of a VProm 2.0.x license can upgrade for 20 EUR (or 10 EUR for those who purchased from December 2024 onward).
