Ample Sound has announced an update to all 14 of its virtual guitar instruments.

Version 3.7 comes with a new Riffer system with improved MIDI export function and optimized strumming sounds, making all Ample products’ riffs inter-compatible. The update also includes a size scaling function for the user inferface.

Furthermore, an updated legato system supports slides and hammer-on/pull-off across different strings (polyphonic) and different frets, and the start notes on multiple strings can be played at different times.

The accuracy of exporting from Strummer to Riffer has improved, changing the export from ‘overwrite current bar’ to ‘add a new bar’ in Riffer. The update also includes updated preset files for all 14 guitars, and various bug fixes.

The upgrade is free for existing users, available to download from the MyAmplesound page.
