Applied Acoustics Systems has announced the release of Epicycles, a sound bank for the Chromaphone 2 synthesizer and AAS Player plug-ins in collaboration with artist and sound designer Richard Devine.
After his Microsound Textures compendium, Richard Devine revisits Chromaphone in its second incarnation and presents an unsettling and opaque collection of new sounds.
The 111 Epicycles presets adventurously delve into enigmatic and uncertain lands. Nine categories structure the series of patterns and textures: Soundscapes, Basses, Plucked Strings, Keys, Synths, Strings and Pads, Percussions, Arps, and Effects.
Epicycles is available for purchase for $39 USD. Until May 31st, 2016, the Epicycles sound bank is available at the introductory price of $29 USD and is bundled with every purchase of the new Chromaphone 2 acoustic object synthesizer.
The instant download delivery package includes both a Chromaphone 2 bank file and the free AAS Player plugin (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX).
