Applied Acoustics Systems has announced that its Strum GS-2 acoustic and electric guitar plugin now supports Native Instruments’ NKS extended plugin format.
NKS brings intuitive and seamless interaction between Strum GS-2 and KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboards and MASCHINE hardware. Strum GS-2’s key parameters have been mapped in order to provide optimal tactile control of its physical modeling engine. Furthermore, the key switches of Strum GS-2’s Guitar, Keyboard, and Loop modes are efficiently reflected to the KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboards’ Light Guide for a fast and persistent reference. And Finally, Strum GS-2’s entire factory preset library now appears in the powerful tag-based browsers of the MASCHINE and KOMPLETE KONTROL software.
“We are currently working to make our different instruments compatible with the NKS format and Strum GS-2 is the second one to be ready,” says Eric Thibeault, marketing director at Applied Acoustics Systems. “We are very excited with this new NKS version; I think Strum GS-2 users will love the entire integration, particularly the KOMPLETE KONTROL SSeries keyboards Light Guide; it’s a great hands-on reference of the various key-switches.”
Strum GS-2 for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX/Standalone) is available for purchase for $99 USD as part of a Summer Sale until August 31st, 2016 (50% off regular). This new NKS version of Strum GS-2 is available now and provided free of charge to registered users.
