Audija has announced a public beta of an updated version of its virtual instrument with precision bassdrum synthesis. Version 2.5 of KickDrum comes with new features, improvements and fixes.
There are some big improvements this version offers and we think it’s the right timing, as we are also about to release the preset section in the next days and how wonderful it is that there’s a whole new palette of possibilities available that can help to lift the presets variety and quality.
Changes in KickDrum 2.5 (Beta 1)
- New: Sound engine is now in stereo.
- New: OSC now has a wavetable editing suite.
- New: New spectral Pitch device.
- New: New wavetable distortion device.
- New: Sample Range selector: now when clicking on Sample name in a Sampler device, a range from the sample can be selected.
- New: Ctrl/CMD + d now duplicates a device.
- New: Analyze Function (Sample-To-Devices) now does convert to wavetable.
- Improvement: PhaseAdjuster is only shown when an Oscillator is present.
- Improvement: Gridlines are hidden now when EQ is selected.
- Improvement: Ctrl/CMD + v now inserts Device after selected device.
- Improvement: Dragging a device to the device chain edge when other devices are still out of sight now starts autoscroll.
- Improvement: Envelope Device Node lasso now works also in lower half.
- Bug fix: KeySnap option is now ignored by Sample-To-Devices function, which caused inaccurate analyzation results when activated.
- Bug fix: MouseOver Editpanel in presetBrowser now only draws where intended.
- Bug fix: Solo states are now correctly updated after deleting a device that was soloed.
- Bug fix: DAW state now only loads when audio engine is connected, avoiding loading the state with wrong settings.
- Regression: OSC Tags frequency and key are color coded again.
The update is free for existing users, and new customers can purchase KickDrum for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU) at the Audija store and from Loot Audio.
