Audio Damage has announced the released of an updated version of its free compressor effect plugin.
Rough Rider 3 comes with external sidechain input and sidechain HPF, a “full bandwidth” switch that turns off the internal warming filters, input and output level controls, and a new user interface.
Since 2008, our RoughRider series of compressors has been a mainstay of electronic and hip-hop music. With over half a million downloads, this workhorse is easily one of the most used compressors in the music business.
With version 3, we’ve made it even more useful. We have added an external sidechain input, sidechain HPF, a “full bandwidth” switch that turns off the internal warming filters, input and output level controls, and an all-new GUI with full input, output, and gain reduction metering and graphs.
The plugin is available for free in VST/VST3, AU and AAX formats, and iOS standalone and AUv3.
A free Lab Grains preset pack by Hainbach for the Quanta granular synthesizer has been released as well.
We commissioned German ambient artist Hainbach to create a video and preset pack for Quanta using his wall of test equipment. This pack is free to all Quanta owners, and will work in all versions of Quanta on all platforms.
The download is available from the Quanta product page. In the next update of Quanta, this pack will be moved to the Artist presets.
