AudioThing has announced the release of a new audio plugin that offers a faithful plugin emulation of the legendary 1960s Philicorda organ from Philips.
Featuring a vibrato circuit, spring reverb, and 2 speakers, Philicorda replicates the transistor-based sound of the later GM751 models, delivering the distinctively warm yet clear tones that made the Philicorda a classic. It also comes with an overdrive, envelope generator, leakage, bias, and key click.
Our plugin captures the unique character of the Philicorda, including the signature spring reverb (on some models called Reverbeo). While the spring reverb and speakers are meticulously sampled to preserve their original sound, the core of the Philicorda’s tone generation is fully algorithmic, allowing for a realistic and accurate emulation, surpassing the limitations of sample-based instruments.
Philicorda for Windows, Mac and Linux (VST/VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP) is on sale for the intro price of 29 USD/EUR until February 11th, 2024 (regular 59 USD/EUR). The iOS/AUv3 version is available at the App Store for $12.95 USD during the promotion (regular $19.99 USD).
The offer is available at the AudioThing store and from distributor Plugin Boutique.
