AudioThing has announced that it is developing an updated version of its Outer Verb spring reverb plugin.
Outer Verb is a spring reverb plugin emulation based on the reverb tank of a famous vintage tape echo made in the early seventies.
Outer Verb uses a combination of convolution and modelling to recreate the vintage feeling of that famous spring reverb tone. The input stage can be pushed to introduce a warm saturation before the reverb effect. We’ve also modelled the EQ section of the original unit which affect only the reverb wet signal.
The update will result in a new plugin that will include a Tape Echo section, along with all the features of Outer Verb. It will be free to Outer Verb owners.
Outer Verb for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/AAX) is on sale for 29 EUR until February 7th, 2017 (regular 39 EUR). The full price of the new plugin will be higher, and Outer Verb will be discontinued upon release.
