Bicubic Audio has released Exotic Drums, a sample pack featuring a collection of 50 drum kits with an unusual sound.
The drum samples are divided into 200 WAV Loops and 350 One-Shots, organized by groups: Kick & Snare, HiHats, Percussions, etc.
The main task of this pack was to create the sets of drums most dissimilar to everything that is now in the drum & bass scene. In so doing, it was important to get the live sound just like acoustic drums, but for all that to enable them to combine easily and qualitatively with modern dnb basses.
The combination of true stereo recording with advanced sound-design and clever post-processing gave us an opportunity to make that ‘unusual sound’.
