Bitwig has announced the release of a free sound package of drum recordings. The latest addition to the Orchestral Tools Collection, Orchestral Percussion includes world-class recordings of dramatic hits, rolls, and crescendos that have been optimized as presets for our Sampler and Drum Machine.
Seven presets cover the full range of percussion instruments, including bass drum, snare, and other drums; richly textured cymbals and gongs; vibrant percussion such as claves and shakers; and a timpani spanning two full octaves. Each instrument was recorded with the finest musicians on Berlin’s legendary Teldex Scoring Stage, complete with gorgeous natural reverb.
The package includes single hits – with round robins and multiple velocity layers for lifelike expression – as well as dynamic rolls and crescendos. Three additional Drum Machine presets make these samples easy and comfortable to play on controllers with drum pads.
Orchestral Percussion is available to everyone who has a Bitwig Studio license with an active Upgrade Plan.
