Kilohearts has announced the release of a free collection of presets for its Phase Plant software synthesizer.
The Sound Of Mátra is inspired by Fekete Zaj Festival (“Black Noise” in English), organized in the highest Hungarian mountain, Mátra. The presets of the free soundset have been made with wavetables created from the topographical forms of the Matra hills.
This 20-piece preset collection with unique patches created during the official collaboration is now available for free, so all Phase Plant owners can use it and play the experimental sound of Mátra mountain in their music all over the world. It also includes original nature field recordings from various Mátra locations.
The various presets in this bank have been made based on the terrain in cooperation with the bands performing at the festival, to promote the summer programs.

Additionally, Kilohearts has recently released Omen, a selection of dark, unsettling cinematic soundscapes. The sound pack contains 50 Phase Plant presets and 97 samples by K/V.
