BlepFX has announced the release of a simple to use effect that adds digital artifacts to your sounds.
It works by modulating a small fractional delay line at an audio rate at high frequency, resulting in a bit crush/sample divide/erosion kind of effect.
crunchrr features
- Digital Crunch: Add subtle digital bitcrush-like distortion to your sounds or turn them into a complete noisy mess.
- Modulator Types: Choose from a variety of modulator types (noise, bandpassed noise, sine, square, triangle, saw) with a wide range of frequencies, from 0.1 Hz up to 22 kHz.
- Stereo Width: crunchrr can create subtle stereo widening by offsetting the phases of the modulators for left and right channels, or you can make the modulators mono if you’d like.
- Simple to Use: With just 5 parameters, crunchrr is extremely intuitive and simple to use.
- CPU Friendly: crunchrr uses extremely optimized algorithms and therefore it is very light on your CPU.
- Minimal UI: Cute digital visualizer. Easy to navigate interface. Dark & light modes. Freely resizable.
crunchrr for Windows, Mac and Linux (VST3, AU and CLAP) is available as a “pay what you like” download, including free.
