Soonth has announced the release of a virtual modular synthesizer instrument that is designed to be both fun and simple.
Housed in a GUI that comes with light and dark themes, Blocks features a grid in which you can add oscillators (triangle, square, sine and saw) and noise, multi-mode filters, drive (soft and hard clip, linear and sine fold, bitcrush, and downsample), flanger, reverb, delay, chorus and phaser modules.
You can modulate the various parameters of the blocks with LFO and ADSR modules. A selection of presets is included to get you started.
Blocks is currently available in VST3 and AU plugin formats and as standalone software for Windows and macOS. Linux support is coming soon. The source code is available at GitHub.
