Chowdhury DSP has released an update to the Chow Tape Model plugin, a free analog tape effect plugin for Windows, Mac, Linux and iOS.
Version 2.11.0 adds support for the CLAP plugin format, multi-channel processing, stereo/mid-side balance, and more.
Chow Tape Model is a digital emulation of a reel-to-reel analog tape machine. The original algorithm was developed to emulate the Sony TC-260, but has since been expanded to be able to model a wide variety of tape machines.

- Added CLAP plugin format support (with parameter modulation).
- Added accessibility support, for using the plugin with screen reader software.
- Added option to enable/disable OpenGL on Windows/Linux systems with sufficient OpenGL support.
- Added host context menus for slider controls.
- Improved presets system, and added new built-in presets from Carter and Cool WAV.
- Improved UI scaling behaviour, especially for high-resolution screens.
- Fixed V1 mode creating high-pitched tone with linear phase oversampling.
- Fixed compatibility issue related to xsimd::isnan.
Chow Tape Model is available to download in VST/VST3, AU, CLAP, LV2, AAX, and AUv3 plugin formats, and as standalone software.
