Cool WAV has announced the release of Analog 808’s Volume 1, a collection of 50 808 one shots made from scratch with the RD-8 analog drum machine from Behringer.
Instead of going straight into the DAW, the sounds were ran through a Radial Engineering JDI Direct Box and into a Warm Audio Tone Beast Black Preamp with Op Amps and Transformers for Analog Saturation.
Finally, from the Tone Beast into an Antelope Discrete 4 Synergy Core Audio Interface with high end converters. Moor Gold Cables were used throughout the entire signal chain. Additional DSP and Plugin FX were used to add Compression, Distortion, EQ, and Soft Clipping.
