Crocus Soundware has introduced a new Liminal series instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt. Whispering Strings features violin, viola and cello.
This is a library of intimately recorded string samples. The library’s articulations are aleatoric, long and evolving, with the performer imparting character and movement into each sample. This library focuses on creative and extended playing techniques, including the use of a rosin-less bow – achieving delicate and whispering sounds.
The user-interface allows articulations to be layered, mixed and reversed and our ‘crossfade gizmo’ allows artful blending of sound layers with fun and intuitive color-coded controls.
