Splice Sounds has launched Discwoman presents: BEARCAT + Haram, a new sample pack from the New York based collective and booking agency founded by Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson, Emma Burgess-Olson and Christine McCharen-Tran, who are creating a musical landscape that champions cis women, trans women, and genderqueer artists.
We are thrilled to welcome two artists from the Discwoman lineup to the Splice platform with their first sample pack, a collaborative effort from BEARCAT and Haram. BEARCAT is an artist from London currently based in Brooklyn, who has DJed for the likes of 21 Savage, CupcakKe and Caleborate and performed at Afropunk, Glastonbury and Reading. Her sets and mix are bass-heavy and energetic.
Haram is a Phily-based producer whose sets incorporate club, bounce music, Middle Eastern dance music, noise and experimental. She’s a graduate of Redbull Music Academy Bass Camp, hosts a number of regular party series and radio shows in Philly, and has performed at MoMA PS1, Bonnaroo, GHE2OG0TH1K and more. Akin to the Discwoman ethos, Haram and BEARCAT’s sample pack pushes the boundaries and defies genre or convention.
Dive into this pack of colorful synth work, gritty FX, lively drum samples and more.
The sample pack is now available to Splice subscribers.
