Ewan Bristow has introduced a free and open-source audio plugin that brings the powerful capabilities of cepstral morphing. EB-Morph is inspired by industry-standard tools such as MMorph and other advanced morphing processors.
Send audio over the effect channel, give it a sidechain input and morph between sound in the Cepstral domain!
EB-Morph features
- Cepstral Morphing: EB-Morph utilises something known as the “Cepstrum”, allowing fine control over timbre and harmonics. This plugin has the ability to morph 2 cepstrums together, providing a much “cleaner” sound than spectral morphing.
- Blocksize: Control the size of the time blocks for the analysis, affecting the detail and smoothness of the morphing process.
- Morph Position: Adjust the balance between the two input sounds, giving you full control over how much of each source is present in the morphed result.
- Clarity: Define how clear or smeared the morph sounds, allowing for anything from highly distinct elements to a more blended, dreamy texture.
- Flip: Swap the modulator and carrier, allowing for a vast range of textures.
EB-Morph runs inside PlugData for Windows, Mac and Linux (VST3, AU, LV2, CLAP, and standalone), which is also free and open source.
