Empty Vessel Sound Design has launched a new sound pack in collaboration with Jogging House, featuring a collection of 42 warm dusty patches for the TAL-Sampler plugin.
Inspired by being out in nature and the calm, therapeutic energy one can feel when immersed in the forest, Foresting contains a range of characterful sounds suitable for lofi ambient and soundtrack work.
The sounds were created and processed with a diverse and at times unusual set of hardware, some of which you can see in the image below of Boris’s small studio. My contribution came from a Novation Summit, Arturia Polybrute, Sony dictaphone and TAL J-8. All were processed through my small 4ms eurorack FX case, Tascam 424mk2 and an Elektron Octatrack.
The overall feel is understated and highly usable but very dusty and characterful. Ideal for textured ambient and soundtrack work, the sounds form a cohesive set of presets designed to feel like they all come from the same instrument with a range of aged timbres from different oscillators/sources.
Priced 20 EUR, the sound pack includes the full Wav copy of Sound Sounds by Jogging House and a set of original samples by Empty Vessel.
