Enjoy Samples has introduced a new Kontakt instrument library that aims to bring a faithful reference of interpretation and sound of the trumpet, as well as the experience of an unaltered studio session.
Trumpet – RAW Edition was performed by Lucas Lipari-Mayer from the “Ensemble intercontemporain”, one of the world’s best classical trumpeters.
He honored us by playing every note in the range from “Gb2 to C5” in over 20 playing styles/intentions and 2 dynamics (P and FF), offering flexibility and subtlety of expression for this C trumpet.
Raw Edition: This instrument prioritizes the authenticity of the recording. Here, we are in the raw, straight from the console with 8 microphones : (1 Coles 4038 “Close 1”, 1 U47 “Close 2”, 2 TLM150 “Spot 1”, 2 AEA R84 “Spot 2”, and 2 TLM170 “Room”).
To preserve the soul of this session, the samples were meticulously cut manually, leaving some imperfect notes as well. No processing has been added—it’s RAW. “Except for the Tuned version, which was necessary.”
