Fingerpushers has announced the release of Electro Bass, a new sample-based instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Electro Bass is a simple software synthesizer built upon the Kontakt 4 sampler from Native Instruments. It is best described as an innocent flirt with the Electro genre – designed to be an inspiration when working on those big sounding, portamento-ish bass sounds.

Electro Bass is best describes as a one-trick pony. No sweet pads or trance plucks will ever emanate from this instrument. Nothing but of maxed out bass sounds.

The structure is simple. There are two oscillator sections, each with three unique waveforms. Each oscillator has its own lowpass/highpass filter, there is one envelope for the volume plus one envelope for the master filter. There are two effects: delay and a simple saturation effect to give the sound a rougher edge.

For lovers of the pumping sidechain-effect – the pump-knob will come in handy. No routing needed – it’s all done with a complex LFO shape that sounds pretty convincing.

Electro Bass features

  • 169 megabyte sound pool. The oscillators have been sampled in great detail: almost every key with long loops.
  • 90 presets (53 single presets and 37 multi sounds).
  • All files in 44.1 kHz, 16 bit WAV format. Programmed for Kontakt 4.

The sample library is available to purchase for 5.90 EUR.
