New Sonic Arts has released Freestyle, a VST host for stage and studio.
Freestyle is a modular sound design and performance environment that is designed to enable a user to combine, split, layer and chain their VST instruments and FX. The Rack View is intended for quickly building patches, while the Structure View provides complete access to the modular architecture, allowing manual ‘wiring’ between any input and output pins.
Freestyle’s Plugin Browser provides access to all a user’s VSTs, and includes full text search plus Favorites organization.
Macro Controls and Performance Snapshots allow the user to take their patches on stage, transforming a laptop into a live-rig / keyboard workstation.
Furthermore, enhanced integration of Granite, Nuance and Vice makes Freestyle the ultimate host for those plug-ins.
Freestyle for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/Standalone) is available for purchase for the introductory price of 99 EUR until July 31st, 2016 (regular 129 EUR).
