Audio Plugin Deals has launched a two week promotion on Realsamples’ sample library that brings the exquisite sound of a double-manual harpsichord crafted in 1787 by Pascal Taskin.

The meticulously sampled French Harpsichord 1787 virtual instrument captures the sophisticated finesse and rich tonal palette of a Parisian masterpiece.

Seven meticulously sampled variations offer a wealth of sonic possibilities: Upper 8′, Lower 8′, 4′, Tutti (all stops), two “Lautenzug” variations, and the unique “peau de buffle” stop (buffalo leather picks). Up to 8 round robin samples per key ensure smooth, natural trills and fast passages, while 4 round robin key release samples per key and stop recreate the authentic acoustic experience.

The library contains over 4,200 samples, originally recorded at 192 kHz/24 bit and downsampled to 44.1 kHz for optimal performance. Kontakt presets include the original Valotti temperament at 415 Hz and modern tuning at 440 Hz. Delve into the fascinating history of the instrument with an included essay from the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe Hamburg.

Available for the full version of Kontakt 5.6.0 or higher, the sample library is priced $19.95 USD until September 1st, 2024 (regular $119.95 USD).
